D12: Limekiln to Whitehall Road West official opening

The opening of the Limekiln to Whitehall Road West took place in accompany with Cllr Baby Pereppadan, Mayor of South Dublin County Council.

This scheme looks to provide sustainable transport options for commuters as well as active travel benefits for local communities. The objectives are to provide connectivity within the community, offer traffic calming measures in Greenhills and Templeogue and continue improving cycling infrastructure.

The scheme includes segregated cycle lanes along Limekiln Lane, an upgraded junction at Greentrees road and safety upgrades along Mountdown Park and Fernhill Road

This scheme was progressed under Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act, 1994.
