Your e-mail should include a requested deadline of no shorter than 24 hours unless in cases of emergencies. Please note that, depending on the size and nature of the query, some information may take longer to be sourced. Due to data privacy laws, SDCC do not comment on individual cases.

All published press releases can be found here and are searchable by keyword and date.

Filming

Filming Applications must be submitted at least 5 working days in advance of the date permission is required for filming. For further information you can download the application form here.

This can be submitted, along with Public Liability insurance cover with a specific indemnity for South Dublin County Council through e-mail to communications@sdublincoco.ie. When this application has been received, it is circulated to relevant departments in the Council for consideration. If no additional information is required and providing there are no objections to the filming request, a decision is issued by the Council with conditions attached and upon receipt of appropriate payment (if applicable).

If there is a need for a temporary road closure (link to road closure page for all info), a road closure application must be made a minimum of 6 weeks prior to filming. This is to allow for processing the application, placing the required statutory notices and informing the relevant parties. You can download the application form here.

This can then be submitted to:

Senior Executive Officer Land Use, Planning and Transportation Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24
