Notice of Transportation of Exceptional Abnormal Loads

South Dublin County Council wish to inform the public that six Exceptional Abnormal Loads of 490 tonnes each will be transported from Dublin Port to Grange Castle at night, one each week from 26 September until 11 November 2024.

These loads comprise of gas turbines needed to generate electricity to supply to the National Grid in times of critical power usage.

These loads are the largest loads transported on our Road network to date and are the culmination of months of planning by SDCC, TII, NTA, and the clients design and haulage teams.
