Dublin 24 Rapid Implementation Cycle Network
The Dublin 24 Rapid Implementation Cycle Network is a proposed Section 38 scheme, fully funded by the NTA, to introduce a segregated cycle network in the Dublin 24 area. The network will consist of:
- Killinarden Heights- Construction underway and line marking left to complete March 2024.
- Killinarden Way- Works are almost complete.
- Whitestown Way- Works have begun on Whitestown way as of Feb 2024 and expected to be finished by end of March 2024
- Kiltipper Way- Works commencing again in March 2024
- Firhouse Rd W- Works ongoing in 2024
- Killinniny Rd
- Ballycullen Rd/Drive/Ave- Works to start later in 2024 once final plans have been agreed
This network amounts to approximately 11km of cycle lanes and will have direct links with 9 schools included as part of this project

The D24 Neighbourhood Cycle Network Scheme Section 38 Consultation commenced 12/09/2022 and has ended 09/10/2022.

The decision to proceed with this scheme was taken on 28th October 2022 and recorded on the SDCC Chief Executive Order system.
The EIA and AA screening decision was taken on 12th September 2022 and recorded on the SDCC Chief Executive Order system.
